LPYSA END OF YEAR MEETING; 2019
1) Fall Review
a. Another successful season for LPYSA as a whole, weather was cooperative which helped immensely.
b. No suspensions for any parents or players.
c. No reports regarding unsuitable parent/coach/player conduct.
d. Registration counts:
i. 564 Rec Players in the Spring
ii. 488 Rec Players in the Fall
iii. Totaled 45-52 teams each season
iv. 89 RecPlus players for the Fall with 7 teams. Carries over to Spring of 2020.
e. Continued with our PDT sessions, though we are in need of more volunteers to assist to ensure enough coverage for amount of registrants participating each time.
f. Pro Flex trainers were a huge help again.
i. Had an increase in assistance this season as compared to last season
ii. 10 concussion evaluations, 23 ankle evaluations, 3 were assessed as sprains and 13 taped and allowed to play, 4 first aids, 5 asthmatic attacks, 2 hip injuries, 3 back injuries and 1 finger splinted.
iii. ProFlex will be employed by LPYSA once again this Spring.
g. Had our inaugural season of TOPSoccer this Fall.
i. Program is for children, aged 4-19, with physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities.
ii. Had 25-30 athletes each session and 30-35 youth and adult volunteers over 3 sessions in October.
iii. We will proceed with another session this Spring, and will have 5 dates. This season, we hope for more adult interest in assisting as “coaches.”
iv. Due to our Sponsors, which are recognized on our Sponsorship sign and on Facebook and Website, there was no cost to participate in TOPSoccer program.
2) Treasurers Report
a. Still awaiting invoices from County for some of Fall fees
b. Status of finances of club continue to remain steady.
3) New Business
a. Spring Registration has been open since December 1st, and over 100 players registered.
b. Registration closes on 2/29/20 at midnight.
c. Spring draft will take place on Monday, March 3rd.
d. Practice begins on Monday, March 16th.
e. Games begin on Saturday, April 4th.
f. Spring Picture date is: May 2nd.
g. Post Season Recreation Tournament is weekend of June 13th.
